This is the first in a short series of posts where I pick out a few favourites taken during 2012 that I would like to share. This first set features a mix of landscapes, all Scotland as usual, including some night shots alongside more regular daytime views.
When first posted on Facebook this night shot of Oban proved very popular:
Cooling towers at the Grangemouth oil refinery:
And another of Grangemouth, steam rising from the cooling towers on a windy day.
Loch Awe at dawn.
Tree in a forest, Tayside.
Church spire, Bo'ness (taken with my vintage Panagor lens).
Golden sands of Morar with view to islands of Eigg and Rum. (This beach is just a short walk up from Camusdarach where they filmed some of Local Hero.)
Anchor, golden sands of Morar.
Locks at Crinan.
More highlights from 2012 to follow.
